Mount Ayr Cross Country added a meet to their schedule where they ran against top runners in the State Thursday in Redfield at the West Central Valley Cross Country meet.
The Raider boys saw Ashtyn Benesh finish 27th overall with a time of 20:52.89 and Braylon Greenwell finish 39th with a time of 21:45.95.
The Raiderette’s looked to finish fourth in overall standings, however, in the middle of the meet the timers lost power, to which all times were unofficial.
The Raiderettes performed well, though, with Anne Newton finishing first for the Raiderettes in 18th with at ime of 23:38.
Karlie Larsen was next in 21st with a time of 23:37.
Makenna Jones was 23rd overall with a time of 23:40.
Karly Elwood and Kacie Larsen were side by side with Elwood finishing 28th and Larsen in 29th. Elwood finished four seconds ahead of Larsen with a 24:24 and Larsen a 24:28.
Lillie Fuller finished 57th with a time of 43:47.
