Lenox 12, Mt. Ayr 2
Tuesday night marked the second home game for the Raiders where they competed against the Lenox Tigers.
The Raiders kept the score pretty tight throughout the first few innings, with the score after the fifth being 5-2, with Lenox leading but also with two more innings to go.
Inning six is where the Tigers found a vast majority of their runs, as they were able to score seven in the sixth inning, making the score 12-2, which ended the game by the mercy rule.
Drew Ehlen led the Raiders on the mound against the Tigers where he threw 97 pitches in 5 innings in which he recorded five strikeouts on 27 batters.
Mt. Ayr 12, SWV 4
The Raider baseball team pulled out a win on Thursday night coming out on top of Southwest Valley, with a final score of 12-4.
In the first inning, the Raiders put two points on the board, with the Timberwolves scoring none.
The Raiders then went on to put up two more points in the third inning, and five more in the fourth, with their final three runs coming in at the bottom of the fifth inning.
Tate Dugan led the Raiders at the plate with three at bats, three hits and three runs scored, earning himself a 1.000 batting average on the game.
Sophomore Dylan Graham was on the mound Thursday night for all seven innings, allowing eight hits and four runs to score with a total of four strikeouts.
Mt.Ayr 13, Bedford 5
The Raider baseball team faced off against the Bedford Bulldogs in an eight inning battle on Friday evening to finish their week.
Mt. Ayr put up their first run in the second inning alongside the Bulldogs, where they were tied, 1-1.
The Raiders went on to put up two more runs in the third inning, making the score 3-1.
The team would score again in the fifth inning putting up one run, with the Bulldogs to follow, where they scored three, making the score at the end of the fifth inning 4-4.
Neither team scored in the sixth or the seventh innings taking the game into the eighth, where the Raiders were able to score four in the top with the help of a grand slam from Jaixen Frost, making the final score 8-4.
Mt. Ayr 12, Murray 1
Starting out their week on Monday, the Raiders were on the road for a game against Murray.
The Raiders had a very good game at the plate, scoring 12 runs against the Murray Mustangs.
Mount Ayr came into the game strong, scoring two runs in both the first and second innings, making the score 4-0 after two.
Neither team was able to score in the third inning but the Raiders did not let up, scoring four in the fourth.
The Mustangs scored one run in the bottom of the fifth inning, but not before the Raiders put up four more in the top of the inning, ending the game by mercy rule.
