The Mount Ayr Raiderette girl’s basketball team saw their winning streak go to four games after winning twice last week, including winning their postseason opener at home.
The win gave the Raiderettes record another win to set their overall record at 15-6.
The Raiderettes beat Interstate-35 on February 5, 55-30 in their regular season finale and three days later beat Sidney in the first round of the postseason, 56-25 at home.
The Raiderettes played at Lamoni on Tuesday, February 13 in the first round of the Class 1A Region 3 tournament. Lamoni beat Hamburg 40-29 to advance. A win there would set up a date on Friday likely at Class 1A 12th-ranked Fremont-Mills.
The winner of that game will play in the Regional Final on Wednesday, February 21 at a site to be determined.
The top seed in the Region is No. 6 Martensdale-St. Mary’s.
