The 2024 Legislative forum sponsored by the Mount Ayr Chamber of Commerce will be held Saturday, March 9 at 11 a.m. at the Ringgold County Courthouse Assembly Room.
The forum provides Ringgold County residents with the opportunity to share their views with state lawmakers during the Iowa legislative session.
House District 17 representative Devon Wood and 9th District Senator Tom Shipley will be present to give a brief report on what is happening and then will answer questions.
This will be the only forum held here for this legislative session, reversing the trend of past years where numerous forums were held in the county.
Neither Wood or Shipley gave a reason for having only one appearance per county during this session of the legislature.
