MOUNT AYR, Iowa – The Ringgold County Development Corporation held its annual meeting and banquet last Wednesday night at the American Legion in Mount Ayr. The banquet meeting provided the membership an opportunity to celebrate the year that was and looking forward to the year ahead.
After the business meeting portions of the organization and various committees was completed, Executive Director Nicole McGinnis talked about the organization’s accomplishments including the Home For Iowa project, in which there may soon be a buyer.
McGinnis also recognized outgoing board members and thanked them for their service. In particular, McGinnis recognized Kelly Main for his 24 years of service and commitment to the organization and Ringgold County.
The evening also included a presentation from keynote speaker Bill Menner, who is a consultant specializing in rural community development and partnerships to help Iowa communities thrive.
