Mount Ayr senior Ryce Reynolds was selected to the Des Moines Register’s 2024 Elite All-State team.
This was Reynolds second consecutive year to be recognized on the elite all-classes team and fourth year as Class 1A First Team All-State.
The Register said, “Reynolds is a verified winner and, when he doesn’t win, he finished second. He took home titles in the 400, 400 hurdles and 800 sprint medley. The only race he didn’t win–the 200 meters–he finished second, and his time of 22.05 seconds was just two one-hundredths behind the winner.
Reynolds will be heading to Standford to run track next season.
