The Mount Ayr boy’s wrestling team had a tough night on January 14, taking part in three dual meets.
The result was an 0-3 night as the Raiders fell to Audubon 38-24, Lenox 42-24, and SE Warren/Melcher-Dallas 52-26. The Raiders next dual meet is on January 27 against West Central Valley and Lenox.

Against Audubon, Mount Ayr won four matches with a pair of pins and a pair of wins by forfeits. Winning by forfeit was Nathan Mederos at 144 and Bracken Collier at 175. There were a pair of open weights in the dual at 215 and 285. Brock Shaha pinned Keaton Reis at 120 in 1:42 and Cordell Clemens pinned Alex Henkle at 190 in 3:04. The Raiders won the first match in the dual at 120 and trailed 15-12 before the Wheelers took command of the dual.

The Raiders also scored 24 points by Lenox in a 42-24 win. There were three open weights in the dual at 113, 120, and 190. The Raiders won four matches in the dual. Weston Adams won by forfeit at 106.
Three other Raiders won by pin at 126 with Brock Shaha winning over Laine Brown with 1:48, at 132 with Bryson Martin at 132 with a pin over Levi Fitzgerald at 1:26, and at 175 with Bracken Collier with a pin over Jayden Arnold in 3:05.

The Raiders finished the night with a loss to SE Warren/Melcher-Dallas 52-26. The Raiders won five matches in the dual, all in contested matches. Weston Adams pinned Trace Mann in 1:45 in 106 and Bryson Martin pinned Spencer Lovell at 126 in 32 seconds. Brock Shaha won by tech fall in 2:00 with a 21-5 score at 120. Nathan Roemer also won by pin at 138 over Levi Halterman at 5:50. The other win came from Cordell Clemens by a decision, 10-9 at 190.
