The Mount Ayr Raiders boys golf team saw their season come to an end on Monday, May 21. The Raiders would place fourth at the Class 1A district meet in Anita, hosted by CAM High School.
Advancing to the state were Woodbine, Sigourney, and CAM, who all had team scores of 318. Mount Ayr was fourth with a team score of 319. Sidney was fifth with a team score of 320.
Hamburg’s Keith Thompson was the medalist with a score of 67. Hayden Thompson was the runner-up medalist with a score of 70.
Mount Ayr was led by an eighth-place finish by Tanner Streit with a score of 78. Other Mount Ayr scores were 11th Dylan Graham 79, 16th Jaxon Greene 80, 25th Jaxsen Walter 82, 44th Trevin Victor 88, and 58th Avery Wolfe 93.
East Union was also at the meet and placed 11th, while Wayne was 8th in the team standings.
