Clara M. Sullivan Kidney

Clara M. Sullivan was born June 21, 1882, and departed this life May 3, 1924 at the home of her sister, Mrs. G. L. Dickinson, Kellerton, IA, aged 41 years, 10 months and 12 days.  She was united in marriage to James H. Jackson June 16, 1901 and to this union were born three children, Olive, Earl and Wayne.  The husband and son Earl preceded her in death several years ago and she was again united in marriage to H.S. Kidney, December 1915, and he departed this life January 5, 1921. Her sister, Mrs. Ida McAninch, and her father, George Sullivan, also preceded her in death several years ago.  She was operated on for cancer January 24, 1924, at Scotts Bluff, NE and has been a patient sufferer until death claimed her.  She spent most of her life in Iowa until about seven years ago when they moved to Torrington, WY, where she lived until the time of her operation.  She gave assurance of being ready to go and said that her trust was in Jesus.  She leaves to mourn her departure two children, Olive Anderson, of Bayard, NE. and Wayne; three grandchildren, her aged mother, Mrs. R.A. Sullivan and three sisters, Mrs. Curry, Mrs. Lula Dickinson of Kellerton, Mrs. Elise Wood of Belle Plaine, IA and one brother, Albert Sullivan, of Marshalltown, IA, besides six step-children and a host of other relatives and friends.  Funeral services were held from the G.L. Dickinson home at 2:30 Monday afternoon, conducted by Harry Raw and interment was in Maple Row Cemetery.
