George Ford

George Ford was born in Green County, OH., December 11, 1859, and departed this life July 28, at the family home in Creston, aged 64 years, 7 months and 17 days.  He was the eldest of three children born to David and Eliza Ford.  When a boy of ten years he moved to Iowa with his parents and resided in Ringgold County until a few years ago when he left the farm and moved to Diagonal for two years and the past five years has resided in Creston.  On March 11, 1880, he was united in marriage to Miss Rosetta Gustin. To this union was born eight children: Harry E. of Diagonal, Walter J. of Barto, CA., George Elmer at home, Mrs. Lillie Maple of Shannon City, Mrs. Maude Miller of Shannon City, Glen who died in infancy, and the twin daughters Elma and Alma at home, who with the wife, his aged mother, one brother and one sister are left to mourn the loss of a kind and affectionate husband, father, son and brother.
