LOU ANNA DOZE CLARK

LOU ANNA, DAUGHTER OF PETER AND ELIZABETH DOZE, WAS BORN MAY  30, 1868, NEAR MOUNT AYR, IOWA AND DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT HER HOME IN SHANNON CITY, IOWA, JANUARY 7, 1930, AGED 61 YEARS, SEVEN MONTHS AND SEVEN DAYS.

SHE WAS MARRIED TO BEN L. CLARK DECEMBER 14, 1884. TO THIS UNION TWO SONS WERE BORN, LOWELL AND WILLIE. THE LATTER PRECEDED HER IN DEATH 25 YEARS. IN 1892 SHE UNITED WITH THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH IN MOUNT AYR, WHERE HER CHURCH MEMBERSHIP REMAINED UNTIL HER DEATH.

IN THE SPRING OF 1889 THE FAMILY MOVED TO A FARM NORTHWEST OF SHANNON CITY, WHERE THEY RESIDED UNTIL ABOUT EIGHT YEARS AGO WHEN THEY MOVED TO THE PRESENT HOME IN THE WEST PART OF TOWN. SHE WAS A LOYAL FRIEND AND A GOOD NEIGHBOR, AND MANY THERE ARE WHO MOURN HER PASSING.

BESIDES HER HUSBAND, SON AND DAUGHTER-IN-LAW, SHE LEAVES ONE GRANDDAUGHTER. THE BROTHERS AND SISTERS LIVING ARE ABRAHAM DOZE, CRESTON; GUS AND ISAAC DOZE, EDMONTON ALBERTA CANADA; MOSE DOZE, RAWLINS. WY.; MRS LURIA SINDERSON, LONG BEACH, CALIFORNIA.

MRS. CLARK HAD BEEN AN INVALID FOR ABOUT A YEAR. IN SPITE OF HER SUFFERING SHE MAINTAINED A CHEERFUL ATTITUDE AND ALWAYS GREETED HER FRIENDS WITH A SMILE.
