ELIZABETH ANN BLADON

ELIZABETH ANN, DAUGHTER OF JOHN AND MARY BLADON, WAS BORN DECEMBER 6, 1866, IN HENDERSON COUNTY, IL., AND PASSED AWAY AT HER HOME IN CLEARFIELD JANUARY 3, 1944, AFTER A SHORT ILLNESS. WITH HER PARENTS SHE CAME TO IOWA IN 1893 AND SETTLED ON A FARM NORTHEAST OF CLEARFIELD, WHERE THEY MADE THEIR HOME FOR MANY YEARS. FOLLOWING THE DEATH OF HER MOTHER IN 1904 SHE KEPT AND MAINTAINED A HOME FOR HER FATHER UNTIL HIS DEATH IN  1918, AFTER WHICH SHE WENT TO MAKE HER HOME WITH HER SISTER, MRS. EFFIE HARSHAW.

IN 1923 THE HARSHAWS AND BETTIE MOVED TO CLEARFILED, WHERE MANY FRIENDS WERE MADE. ONE BROTHER, ALVIN OF CANADA, PRECEDED HER IN DEATH. SHE LEAVES TO MOURN HER PASSING ONE SISTER, EFFIE, THREE BROTHERS, WILL, FRANK AND TOM ALL OF CLEARFIELD; A NUMBER OF NIECES AND NEPHEWS BESIDES A HOST OF FRIENDS.

FUNERAL SERVICES WERE HELD AT THE CREW FUNERAL HOME JANUARY 5, WITH THE REV. C.M. ROWE OFFICIATING. INTERMENT WAS IN THE CLEARFIELD CEMETERY.
