Eva Woods was born in Aledo, IL., July 16, 1862 and died at her home in Mount Ayr, Iowa, Sunday, February 6 at the age of 81 years, six months and 20 days.
The family came to Iowa where in 1886 she was united in marriage to L. Ogden, of Van Wert, who preceded her in death in 1918.
Mrs. Ogden was a woman of high, sterling character and devotion. From an early age she was an active member of the United Presbyterian Church serving through the Sabbath school and missionary society with timeless zeal and consecration. She was a member of Chapter CK, P.E. O., of Mount Ayr.
Members of the family who survive her are her sister-in-law, Mrs. Alice Ogden and a niece, Mrs. Lester Hill of Des Moines and four nephews, George S. Ogden, a member of the armed forces, M.F. Felix of Chicago, IL., F.C. Felix of Tracy, MN. and Glen H. Felix of Lincoln, NE.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock form the Rhoades Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Frank Moore, pastor of the Methodist Church. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
