Lavena F. Tintle
Lavena F. Tintle, daughter of Sam and Cora Weddle, was born February 23, 1922, at Hatfield, MO and departed this life December 28, 1969 following a brief illness, in a Manitou Springs, CO hospital.
She and her husban, Allbert J. Tintle, moved 17 years ago from the Ellicot area, where they were engaged in farming and stock raising, to Manitou Springs. Mr. Tintle preceded her in death four years ago.
Mrs. Tintle was a member of the Southern Baptist Church and active in the work of the church.
Those who survive are a son, David Tintle, of El Paso, TX; a daughter, Karen Tintle of the home; her mother, Mrs. Cora Weddle, and a brother Roy Weddle of Mount Ayr and a number of cousins, aunts and uncles.
Funeral services were held December 31, from the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Victor Bollinger, a cousin. Burial was in the Memorial Gardens.
Out of town relatives who attended the final rites were Mrs. Cora Weddle, Roy Weddle, Mrs. Opal Rinehart and Clarence Weddle of Mount Ayr and Victor Bollinger and Bufford Weddle of Missouri.
