VERA “JEAN” COMBS BOECKMAN

VERA ‘”JEAN” COMBS BOECKMAN WAS BORN IN REDDING, IOWA TO VERA GENEVA OLNEY AND HARLEY LESTER COMBS ON FEBRUARY 10, 1947. JEAN LOST HER BATTLE WITH BONE CANCER IN LINCOLN, NE., ON JANUARY 4, 2008.

JEAN LEAVES BEHIND HER HUSBAND OF FORTY YEARS, GEBRIEL; HER THREE DAUGHTERS, CHERYL, AMANDA, AND BARBARA, AND THEIR SPOUSES; FOUR GRANDCHILDREN, DYLAN, TREVOR, RYAN AND REBECCA; HER MOTHER, VERA; TWO SISTERS, LILLIAN AND HELEN AND A BROTHER, CARL “ED”.

SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER FATHER.

SERVICES WERE CONDUCTED AT  WILSON-WATSON & ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME IN MOUNT AYR, IOWA ON TUESDAY, JANUARY 8, 2008, AT 1:30 P.M. WITH REV. KAREN L. MOORE OFFICIATING. A EULOGY WAS GIVEN BY STEVE ROTHANZL, MUSICAL SELECTIONS WERE  “THE OLD RUGGED CROSS,” “WIND BENEATH MY WINGS,” AND “WILL THE CIRCLE BE UNBROKEN.”

CASKET BEARERS WERE JIM O’HAIR, KEVIN WIMER, JEFF RINEHART, CARL COMBS, GARY LAMBERT AND CHARLIE JEANS.

JEAN WAS LAID TO REST IN THE REDDING CEMETERY IN REDDING, IOWA.
