BILLY MAX WYMAN

BILLY MAX WYMAN, SON OF CARL AND GRACE (MOTSINGER) WYMAN WAS BORN AUGUST 6, 1922 ON A FARM EAST OF GRANT CITY, MO., AND DEPARTED THIS LIFE FEBRUARY 13 , 2008 AT THE CLEARVIEW NURSING HOME IN MOUNT AYR, IOWA.

BILLY MOVED WITH HIS PARENTS AS A YOUNG BOY TO A FARM NORTHWEST OF MALOY AND LIVED IN THAT AREA THE REST OF HIS LIFE. HE GRADUATED FROM MALOY HIGH SCHOOL IN 1942 AND AUGUST 20, 1943 HE JOINED THE ARMY BEING HONORABLY DISCHARGED MARCH 24, 1943. HE IS CURRENTLY A MEMBER OF THE AMERICAN LEGION POST #443, BLOCKTON, IOWA.

ON NOVEMBER 24, 1946 HE WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE WITH GERALDINE HOPE RINEHART IN MOUNT AYR. THE COUPLE STARTED FARMING NEAR HIS PARENTS NORTHWEST OF MALOY. BILLY WAS THE HAPPIEST WHEN WORKING ON THE FARM, PROVIDING FOR HIS FAMILY AND HELPING NEIGHBORS, FRIENDS AND FAMILY WHENEVER POSSIBLE.

HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS WIFE, HOPE; A BROTHER, JUNIOR WYMAN; A SISTER, VIRGINIA BROWN; A BROTHERS-IN-LAW, KENNETH BROWN AND IVER WACKERNAGLE AND AN INFANT GRANDSON BRIAN CARL WYMAN.

LEFT TO CHERISH HIS MEMORY ARE A DAUGHTER, SANDRA BASTOW AND HUSBAND KEITH OF WEST DES MOINES, IOWA; A DAUGHER TERESA HEISLER AND HUSBAND GENE OF BENNINGTON, NE.; A SON, BARRY WYMAN AND WIFE VICKI OF LYMAN,NE.; A SISTER , ARLOA WACKERNAGLE OF BEDFORD, IOWA; A SISTER-IN-LAW, BETTY WYMAN OF OMAHA, NE.; FIVE GRANDCHILDREN, SUZAN BASTOW OF WEST DES MOINES, IOWA; SHARYN (HUSBAND KEITH) WHITTINGTON OF DES MOINES, IOWA; MIKE BASTOW OF GRANGER, IOWA; DANIEL (WIFE ANDREA) HEISLER OF OMAHA, NE. AND TRACY (HUSBAND BRAD) PAYNE OF MITCHELL, NE. AND NINE GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN, TAYLOR, MACKENZIE, KAYLEE, JULIA AND KADIN WHITTINGTON, KAITLYN AND ASHLEY HEISLER AND KYLE AND GRACIE PAYNE.

SERVICES WERE CONDUCTED AT WILSON-WATSON & ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME IN MOUNT AYR ON SATURDAY FEBRUARY, 16, 2008 AT 2:30 P.M. WITH REV. EDWARD SHIELDS OFFICIATING. MUSICANS WERE DEB CANNON, NEVA FISHER AND ANGIE DODGE.

CASKETBEARERS WERE JACK WACKERNAGLE, GARY LEE WACKERNAGLE, DANIEL HEISLER, MIKE BASTOW, KEVIN WHITTINGTON, AND LYNN RINEHART.

MILITARY RITES WERE CONDUCTED BY BLOCKTON LEGION #443 OF BLOCKTON.

BILLY WAS LAID TO REST IN THE BLOCKTON CEMETERY, BLOCKTON, IOWA.
