ADALINE HEATON

ADALINE HEATON, 93, PASSED AWAY MONDAY, FEBRUARY 18, 2008 AT IOWA METHODIST MEDICAL CENTER. FUNERAL SERVICES WERE HELD FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 22 AT THE FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH IN DES MOINES, IOWA WITH GRAVESIDE SERVICES HELD AT THE CLEARFIELD CEMETERY NEAR CLEARFIELD, IOWA.

ADALINE WAS BORN IN ANTHON, IOWA AND LIVED IN IOWA MOST OF HER LIFE. SHE WORKED FOR THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT FOR 30 YEARS, RETIRING IN 1971. ADALINE WAS A MEMBER OF THE FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF RETIRED FEDERAL EMPLOYEES, UNITED METHODIST WOMEN AND DES MOINES WOMEN’S CLUB. SHE ENJOYED TRAVELING WITH HER SISTER, BARBARA, SEEING ALL 50 STATES AND MANY FOREIGN COUNTRIES.

ADALINE IS SURVIVED BY HER SISTER, BARBARA HEATON OF DES MOINES, IOWA; COUSIN, DON WHITMER OF FLORIDA AND EXTENDED FAMILY MEMBERS.

MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS MAY BE MADE TO THE FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH.

ADALINE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED BY HER SISTER, BARBARA, WITH WHOM SHE LIVED ALL OF HER LIFE.
