Roger Dale Tipton April 3, 1957 – October 26, 2009

Roger Dale Tipton was born in the Ringgold County Hospital in Mount Ayr, Iowa on April 3, 1957, the son of the late Clifford Herman Tipton, Sr. and Thelma Mickael Tipton. Roger passed away October 26, 2009 at the Clearview Home at the age of 52 after a long lengthy illness.

Roger has had many illnesses in his life from birth on. He was sick and fought bravely to the very end while still remaining cheerful to the last breath. Roger was a good friend and he had many good and dear friends. He was proud and thrilled when he was able to visit with each and every one.

On Tuesday, October 20, 2009, Roger and Sherri Lynne McNabb were married at the Clearview Home with many in attendance. To this union came his stepdaughters, Destiny (Kristian) Schroll and Mandi McNabb and David Moffitt and grandchildren, Mathyas and Aven.

Roger leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Sherri of Mount Ayr, Iowa; mother, Thelma Tipton of Mount Ayr, Iowa; brothers, Clifford Tipton of Mount Ayr, Iowa, Richard (Martina) Tipton of Murray, Iowa and Mark (Donna) Clair; stepdaughters, Destiny (Kristian) Schroll and Mandi McNabb and David Moffitt; granddaughter, Aven; grandson, Mathyas; nieces, Jenny Tipton and Miracle Tipton; nephews, Jacob and Jeremy Tipton; great-niece, Haley Tipton; aunts, Kathleen Miller, Kathy Tipton, Carolyn and Duane Paxton and Jeanette Mickael; uncle, Gerald (Linda) Tipton, and a host of cousins and friends. He will be sadly missed by all.

Roger was preceded in death by his father, Herman; grandparents, Leonard and Martha Tipton and Dick and Clara Mickael, and several aunts and uncles.

Services were held at Watson-Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr on  Saturday, October 31, 2009, with Rev. Charles Weiman officiating. Musicians included Deb Cannon and Cindy Mickael.

Casket bearers were Jake Tipton, Jeremy Tipton, Connie Mickael, Elicia White, Chuck Mickael, Duane Blades and Cameron Carter.

Roger was laid to rest in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Mount Ayr.
