Lucille Elizabeth Valentine Perry June 17, 1919 – November 2, 2009

Lucille Elizabeth Valentine Perry passed away on November 2, 2009 to be with her loving family. Lucille was born June 17, 1919 to Ward Valentine and Faye Foster Valentine in Taylor county, Iowa. She married Wayne Perry in Greenfield, Iowa on January 22, 1938 and had a beautiful daughter, Sadie Faye Perry Kibbe, on September 18, 1942 that they both cherished very much. Lucille and Wayne welcomed their son-in-law, Donald Kibbe, with open arms in 1961. In 1962 their only grandchild, Dwayne Kibbe, was born to Donald and Sadie Faye Kibbe whom Lucille and Wayne spoiled very much.
Lucille lost Wayne on July 16, 1966 to an unexpected illness. Lucille remained at the family farm and then returned to school and became an LPN in 1968 and worked in the care giving field for many years. In 1985, a beautiful great-granddaughter, Starla Rose Kibbe, was born to Dwayne Kibbe. Lucille was a very active and a very joyful great-grandma. Then in 1989 Lucille was blessed with her next great-grandchild born to Dwayne Kibbe, a handsome Steven Wayne Kibbe which she also enjoyed very much. Lucille lived for her family and cherished every moment she could spend with them. In 2003 she lost her loving daughter, Sadie Faye, to cancer and then her son-in-law, Donald, to cancer in July of this year. Over the years, she lost two brothers and five sisters to death. In 2004, Lucille joined the Clearview Nursing Home family and met many friends and enjoyed bingo and making everyone laugh and love her.
Lucille is preceded in death by her mother and father, Ward and Faye Valentine; husband, Wayne Perry; daughter, Sadie Faye Kibbe; son-in-law, Donald Kibbe; brothers, Ward, Jr. and Dean Valentine, and sisters, Dorcus, Elizabeth, Mary, Hollis and Dorothy.
Lucille is survived by her brother, Howard Valentine and wife Patty of Sherman Oaks, California; sister, Charlotte Nason of Newport, Oregon; grandson, Dwayne Kibbe of Ottawa, Kansas; great-grandchildren, Starla and Steven Kibbe of Overland Park, Kansas, and many friends, nieces and nephews that she adored.
Services were conducted at the Greenfield Cemetery, Greenfield, Iowa on Monday, November 9, 2009, with Rev. Edward Shields officiating.
Casket bearers were Kevin Andrews, Deric Drake, Jim Brand, Mike Gepner, Bobby Kibbe and Butch Maines.
A memorial fund has been established to Hospice of Central Iowa, Mount Ayr, Iowa.
