Margaret M. Tindle April 3, 1920 – March 1, 2010

As a product of the Depression, Margaret was one who knew how to work hard. She was a secretary during World War II and while Cletus was in chiropractic college in Davenport, Iowa. She moved with him to Osceola in 1950 and was a full-time homemaker until the 1960s when she went back to work as a realtor. She was active in the Osceola Women’s Club for many years and as a volunteer in the United Methodist Church.
Her greatest joy was as grandmother to Jordan and Colin Smith. She spent many hours cheering at their ball games and rarely missed any of their musical performances.
Margaret is survived by her husband, Cletus, of Osceola, Iowa; her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Jim Smith of West Des Moines, Iowa; her grandsons, Colin and Jordan Smith; nieces, Marilyn Christensen, Pam Huitt and Sondra Ruby, and nephews, John Davisson and Marlyn Tindle.
Interment services will be Thursday, March 4, at 2 p.m. at the Resthaven Mausoleum in West Des Moines. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Clarke County Hospital or Hospice of Central Iowa in Osceola.
