Teddie Donald Huff, Jr. October 4, 1928 – February 15. 2012

Teddie Donald Huff, Jr., the eldest child of Ted D. and Verna Rains Huff, was born October 4, 1928 near Nehli in Antelope county, Nebraska. At the age of four, he moved with his family to Decatur county, Iowa and in 1941 the family moved to Highpoint Hill in Ringgold county.

Don worked on the farm with his father as a teenager and later went to Newton where he worked for the Maytag Company. The winter of 1948 he drove a truck in Colorado.

He came back to the farm in the spring of 1949 and met and married Connie Feeback on August 27 of that year. Five children, Chris, Jake, Willis, Candy and Kathy, remember their dad as a loving but strict disciplinarian. Don loved livestock, which over the years included hogs, dairy cattle and in the later years beef cattle and he was very proud of them. He put the needs of his family and livestock above his own.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law; brother, Frank; infant brother, Billy; and infant sister, Lois.

He is survived by his wife, Connie; daughters, Chris Huff, Candy Huff and Kathy (Dale) Garner; sons, Jake (JoAnn) Huff and Willis (Betsy) Huff; grandchildren, Jody (Doug) Halsted, Jennifer (Jon) Hauschildt, Jarod (Amanda) Beede, Justin (Holly) Beede, Tedd (Jenn) Huff III, Angela (Jesse) Gabel, Heath (Tammy) Huff, Christopher (Danae) Huff, Jessica (Tate) Steines, LeAnn (Jay) Creutzman, Alexandra Huff, Anne Starkey, Monica Davis, Jeff Mercer, Miranda (Scott) Sleep, Sarah (Shawn) Harmon, Amber Hutton and Derek and Dusty Gatton; 29 great-grandchildren; brothers, Carter (Andra) Huff, Carroll (Ellen) Huff and Darrold (LuAnn) Huff; sister, Janet Mercer, and a host of well-loved nieces and nephew along with many other cousins, friends and neighbors.
