    Wilma F. Stewart, 91, of Creston died Thursday, June 28, at Creston Nursing and Rehab Center, Creston, Iowa. Celebration of life services were Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Pearson Family Funeral Service, 809 W. Montgomery Street, Creston. Pastor David Tebbenkamp, First Baptist Church, officiated. Interment was at the Ellston Cemetery in Ellston, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to the family.  On-line condolences may be left at
    Wilma Florence Stewart, the daughter of Floyd and Sadie (Lee) Collier, was born on March 10, 1921, in Ellston, Iowa. Wilma grew up in the Ellston area and graduated from Ellston high school.  On June 28, 1938, she married Gene Stewart in Mount Ayr. Gene passed away in the 1950s. Wilma married Marion Travis and they later divorced.
    Wilma lived in the Ellston area and has lived in the Creston area for about 45 years. Wilma was a homemaker and also did multiple jobs outside the home over the years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Creston.  Wilma was involved in numerous community services and she loved to garden and sew.
    Left to cherish Wilma’s memory are her daughters, Rayma (Dan) Ripperger of Afton, Iowa and Ramona (Rick) Landers of Lorimor, Iowa; her son, Robert Stewart of Sheldon, Iowa; her daughter-in-law, Barbra Stewart of Independence, Missouri; 11 grandchildren, Gene (Susan) Stewart of Independence, Missouri, Barbie (Jason) Marshall of Virginia, Derrick (Joni) Stewart of Slater, Iowa, Julia (Ken) Tilson of Leavenworth, Kansas, Tami (Randy) Arnold of Humeston, Iowa, Alex (Candi) Ripperger of Afton, Iowa, Rick Landers, Jr. (significant other Tina) of New Virginia, Iowa, Rhonda (Matt) McCall of Winterset, Iowa, Rebecca (Dean) Scarlett of Perry, Iowa, Robin (Troy) Miller of Murray, Iowa and Rosa Landers (significant other Jimmy) of Des Moines, Iowa; 28 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Gene (Mary) Collier of Simi Valley, California; her sister,  Betty Hudson of Creston, Iowa, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
    Preceding Wilma in death were her parents; her husband, Gene Stewart; her son, Raymond Stewart; two granddaughters, Peggy Sue Woodsmall and Rainie Sue Landers; her brother, Cleve Collier, and her brother-in-law, Aldwin Hudson.
