BEVERLY GILLESPIE

Beverly Gillespie, 64, Rea, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2013, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Beverly was born March 13, 1949 in Creston, Iowa to Frank and Pauline Deemer. She graduated from Kellerton high school in Iowa and moved to Rea, Missouri in 1985.
She was a cook at Eagleville Truck Stop, Sisters of Saint Francis for 23 years and retired from Conception, Missouri school.
Beverly was a very giving and caring person and a wonderful wife. She loved to keep a clean home and cook, especially known for her beef and homemade noodles, and bake. She also loved to read and crochet, making beautiful afghans for herself and others.
Mostly she loved having her grandchildren around and enjoyed cards and games and visiting Branson, Missouri.
Beverly and Henry Hilsenbeck have been faithful companions for over 29 years and he survives of the home. Together they raised a garden and always shared what they grew. They loved to attend dances and Beverly always brought popcorn for everyone who sat at the table.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents and twins, Tina and Tracy.
Additional survivors include three sons of Johnny and Beverly, Eddy Gillespie of Macksburg, Iowa, Tim Gillespie of Mount Ayr, Iowa and Roger Gillespie of Des Moines, Iowa; grandchildren, Jazmine, Amber, Dominic, Dakota, Brittni, Cheyenne, Jaden and Malachi; brother, Dean Deemer of Marion, Iowa.
Services were held Saturday at Heaton-Bowman-Smith Savannah Chapel in Savannah, Missouri. Interment was in Fillmore Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Sisters of Saint Francis or Saint Francis’ Hospital SSM Hospice.
