LAWRENCE WILLIAM OSBORN

    Lawrence William Osborn, son of John Eugene and Laura May (Brant) Osborn, was born December 8, 1973 in Iowa City, Iowa. Lawrence grew up at Tingley and attended Mount Ayr Community school.
    Lawrence was a truck driver and drove a rock truck in his earlier years. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and tormenting his cousins and nephews. Lawrence was a loving father and grandfather and loved spending time with them.
    Lawrence passed away April 12, 2014. He was preceded in death by his father; sisters, Peggy Juhl and Margaret Osborn; brother, Jimmie, and his grandparents.
    Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Laura Osborn of Mount Ayr, Iowa; children, Robyn (Dakota) Morgan of Lamoni, Iowa, Trevor Osborn of Leon, Iowa and Arnette Osborn of Leon, Iowa; grandchildren, Jayson Floyd, Payton Osborn, Adriana Morgan and Damian Morgan; sisters, Marilyn (Charlie White) Spurling of Clearfield, Iowa, Marla (Todd) Lacina of Creston, Iowa, Marlene Osborn of Mount Ayr, Iowa and Deb Smith of Tingley, Iowa, and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    A memorial fund has been established to the family. Watson-Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr is in charge of the arrangements.
    Services were conducted at the Assembly of God Church in Mount Ayr on Monday, April 21, 2014, with Rev. Doug Rohrer officiating. Musical selections were “Long Black Train,” “Daddy’s Hands,” “Daddy’s Girl,” “I Loved Her First” and “Don’t Take Your Guns to Town.”
    Pallbearer was Trevor Osborn.
    Honorary pallbearers included David Richman, Chris Gilbert, Ronny Gilbert, Les Smith, Dakota Morgan, Richard Licht and Joseph Morgan, Sr.
    Burial was in the Tingley Cemetery in Tingley.
