KATHRYN LOUISE ADAMS
Kathryn Louise Adams was born May 2, 1927, to Orval Ray and Mildred (Wilson) Rinehart. She grew up on a farm near Hatfield, MO and graduated from Hatfield High School in 1945. Kathryn was united in Marriage to Melvin D. Adams on February 27, 1946 in Hiawatha, KS.
Kathryn was a homemaker much of her life, but occasionally held various jobs working at the restaurant in Allendale, MO, at the Mount Ayr and Leon factories and Ringgold County Services. Kathryn was very proud of her family and enjoyed cooking and caring for her family. She worked hard to raise a big vegetable garden for cooking and canning. Anyone who knew Kathryn knew that she was an amazing cook and there was always plenty to share.
Kathryn is survived by her children David (Martha) Adams of Grand Junction, CO, Rodney (Vicki) Adams of Loveland, CO, Rhonda Cooper (James Butler) of Kent, IA; grandchildren Cale Adams, Joel Adams, Melanie Hurt, Nicole (Wolfgang) Wegner, Kelli Adams, Justin Adams, Robert (Angie) Adams, Evin Cooper, Jason (Melissa) Butler, Jennifer (James) Tull, Joni (Jermey) Gillam; great-grandchildren Lillyon Adams, Logan and Cheyanne Hurt, Kylee and Austin Hix, Ashlyn Wegner, Grace Johnson, Hannah and Brady Adams, Blake Butler, Gavin and Haylee Gillam; brothers Bobbie (AnnaBelle) Rinehart and Ronnie (Lena) Rinehart; brother-in-law Calvin (Roena) Adams and sister-in-law Bonnie Whited; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, parents, infant son Bobby Joe Adams, granddaughter Kendra Rae Adams, brother Dennis Rinehart; brothers-in-law Donald Whited and Albert Kemerling and sister-in-law Beaulah Kemerling.
Watson Armstrong Funeral Home was in charge of the services held Friday, May 23 with Reverend Joyce Smith officiating. Musicians were Nancy Sackett, Mary Davenport and Margaret Bickers. Honorary Pallbearers were Cale Adams, Joel Adams, Melanie Hurt, Nicole Wegner, Kelli Adams, Justin Adams, Robert Adams, Evin Cooper, Jason Butler, Jennifer Tull and Joni Gillam. Interment was at the Lotts Grove Cemetery in Hatfield, MO. A memorial fund has been set up for the Lotts Grove Cemetery in Hatfield, MO.
