N. BERNEICE LENT

    N. Berneice Lent, 83 years of age, departed this life to be in glory with her Heavenly Father on August 7, 2014.  
She was born in Diagonal, Iowa on August 14, 1930 to Roy and Lois Hammond.  
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Lent; her beloved son, Lyle Lent; and her brother Bobby Hammond.  
    She leaves to treasure her memory, two sisters, Betty Snethen of Mount Ayr, Iowa and Barbara Coffman of Wichita, Kansas; her beloved son Robert Curtis Lent of Palmyra; her grandchildren whom she cherished, Richard “Cris” Lent and his wife Darlene of Palmyra, Michael B. Lent of Fredericksburg; one step-grandson, Kevin Farmer of Ruckersville; as well as several special nieces, nephews and many dear to her heart friends.
    She was a mother above all else, and her mother’s heart enabled her to demonstrate that same affection for those around her easily. She was blessed with many gifts and talents that she shared freely with everyone.  She is dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
    A celebration of life service was held at Beaver Dam Baptist Church in Troy at 11 a.m. Monday, August 11, 2014. A grave side service followed at 1:30 p.m. at Fork Union Cemetery.  
    The family would like to sincerely express their appreciation to the Hospice House of Charlottesville, for helping her live out her last days comfortably as well as all who helped care for her during her illness.
