LARRY LEE HULL

    Larry Lee Hull, son of Walter Eugene and Mary Louisa (Perry) Hull, was born June 19, 1937 near Afton, Iowa.
    Larry married Judith Shelburg in 1960 and together they had four children; Vickie, Larry, Lawrence and Roscoe. Larry and Judy later divorced. The family lived in West Des Moines for several years.
    Larry worked for the city of West Des Moines in maintenance, driving a truck. In 1981, Larry moved away from West Des Moines and did farm work and other jobs. Larry was an outgoing person who always was on the go. His favorite saying was, “There are no strangers, just friends I haven’t met yet.” Larry loved being in the country and enjoyed coon hunting and fishing.
    Larry passed away December 9, 2014 in Mount Ayr. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Bernard Hull, Bernadine Harpin, Lafeyette Hull, Noma Hull, Verladine Main and his twin Lyle Hull.
    Survivors include his children Vickie (Don Webb) Mericle of West Des Moines, IA, Larry (Tommie) Hull of Des Moines, IA, Lawrence (Pam) Hull of West Des Moines, IA, and Roscoe Hull of Des Moines, IA; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and one more on the way; in-laws Maggie Hull, Arnolene Hull, and Ed Mains; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    Services were held Monday, December 15, 2014 at the Watson-Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr with Pastor Everett Napuunoa officiating.
    Casketbearers were Mathew Hull, Brandon Hull, Jacob Hull, Andy Jensen, Eddie Hull and Terry Gretliat.
    Honorary pallbearers were Rebecca Webb, Jessica Hull, Kayla Hull and Sherri Coughennower.
    Burial was in the Murray Cemetery in Murray, Iowa.
    A memorial fund has been established to the nurses fund at Clearview Home.
