ROBERT EUGENE EASON

    Robert Eugene Eason was born on September 8, 1936 in Iowa Falls, Iowa to James Russell and Florence Barbara (Remhof) Eason. He graduated from Iowa Falls High School with the class of 1954 and earned an Associate of Arts degree from Ellsworth Community College.
    On May 2, 1978 Bob was united in marriage to Connie Sue Sunken at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Iowa Falls, Iowa. They made their home in Iowa Falls until moving to Mount Ayr, Iowa in 2013.
    Bob had worked for Cessford Construction and Hardin County Maintenance. He then started what would turn into a 21 year career as a dispatcher and reserve officer with the Iowa Falls Police Department, retiring in 1999. In his free time and throughout life Bob had a passion to do woodworking. He also enjoyed spending time in the garden. In recent years he spent most of his time with the love of his life Connie and their furry friend Sady going camping. Bob was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Iowa Falls, Iowa Falls Moose Lodge, Masons Lodge and the Elkahir Shrine, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
    Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Connie of Mount Ayr, Iowa;  a niece, Tammy (Alan) Parmer of Las Vegas, NV;  two nephews:  James Walker of Las Vegas, NV and Richard Walker of Las Vegas, NV;  cousins, Ron (Varina) Eason of Iowa Falls, Iowa, Jerry (Elaine) Remhof of Des Moines, Iowa, and Betty Prothero of Baraboo, WI; brothers in-law, Cecil James (MaryAnn) Branning of Ironwood, MI and Buzz (Nancy) Branning of IL. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Charlie Remhof and John and Naomi Eason; uncles, George (Pud) Eason, Fred Remhof and Lester Remhof; aunts, Thelma Blake and Helen Bittner.
