The Raiderettes are set to begin their 2019 season after a 16-11 finish last year and the departure of five seniors.
This year, the Raiderettes return a host of experienced seniors and will begin their season on the road with a trip to Bedford on Thursday, August 29.
The Raiderettes are entering their sixth season under head coach Tori Braby, who holds a 114-70 career record.
Assiting coach Braby is Mariah Mason and Kristen Graham.
Returning letterwinners to the 2019 squad see some familiar faces in seniors Jaycee Knight and Sam Stewart. Knight will step into the roll as head captain this year as well as settor while Stewart will find herself in the outside hitter position.
Junior Channler Henle will come back into a varsity role this year at the outside hitter position while sophomore Maddie Stewart will step back into her role at libero.
“There is going to be a lot of talent in the POI this season,” said coach Braby. “Some of the teams lost some heavy hitters and other teams will be returning some solid players.”
