This week’s Homecoming festivities will look a little different from years past, thanks to mitigation efforts during the COVID pandemic.
Thursday night’s jersey auction and crowning of Homecoming royalty will take place at the football field rather than in the gymnasium as in years past. The action gets underway at 6:45 p.m.
Homecoming queen candidates include Haylee Fletchall, Channler Henle, MaKayla Jones, Hope Whittington and Kylian Wise.
King candidates are Trae Ehlen, Rhett Larson, Bryce Shaha, Dawson Swank, and Payton Weehler.
The 2020 Homecoming princess is Brooklyn Schafer. daughter of Robert and Sarah Schafer. This year’s prince is Killian Daniels, son of Alicia Daniels.
Friday’s parade at 1:30 p.m. with community pep rally to follow at the football field are scheduled as usual. However, students in grades K-2 will not be allowed to attend the pep rally. Students in 3-6 may attend the rally, but they are required to wear masks and social distance throughout the event.
This year’s event will coincide with the football game against Colfax-Mingo at 7 p.m.
