BONNIE MANDERS

Bonnie (Pratt White) Manders passed away January 10, 2021 at Greater Regional Hospice Home in Creston, IA.
Bonnie Pratt was born on August 5,1934 to Howard and Opal Pratt in Walnut City, IA, now part of West Des Moines. She graduated from Valley High School and married Richard White on June 12, 1953 and they had four children together. Bonnie had a great love for animals and worked for many years as a veterinary technician in West Des Moines. She moved to Sun Valley Lake, IA, and married Charles Manders in 2009. She enjoyed supporting the Ellston Methodist Church and area charities and taking her dog, Jake, to hospitals and senior homes. She and Charles shared a love for music and Bonnie joined him as a player in the Tingley Kitchen Band, entertaining at hospitals, senior homes and events in the area.
Bonnie is survived by her sister, Gerry Bracewell; daughters, Nancy (Jim) Goode and Teresa Campbell; grandson, Justin (Cherokee) Campbell; great-grandchildren, Mason and Rayne. She was preceded in death by son, Thomas, and daughter, Kathryn Fiedler.
She was beloved by all who knew her and will be sorely missed. We want to say a special thank you to Elaine Hargrove.
Visitation was at the Armstrong Funeral Home 205 West Monroe Street in Mount Ayr, IA on Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Celebration of Life Service was at the McLaren’s Resthaven Chapel at 801 19th Street in West Des Moines, IA on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at 2:30 p.m.
Officiating was Pastor Mike Albert and the pianist was Janet Bradford.
Casketbearers were Justin Campbell, Jim Goode and Rick Goode.
Burial was at the Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines, IA.
In lieu of flowers memorials are to the  Congregate Meal Site at 111 W Main Street in Tingley, IA 50863, Greater Regional Hospital at 1700 W Townline Street in Creston, IA 50801 and Greater Regional Hospice Home at 1111 Country Club Drive in Creston, IA 50801.
