Lodene May Sublett, daughter of Cecil R. and Dolores Kay (Perry) Sublett, was born in Corning, IA on May 14, 1971. She was the youngest of three children. In her younger years the family lived on a farm near Diagonal, Iowa. Lodene graduated from Creston High School. Prior to and after her graduation from high school she lived in various states where her mother was stationed on active duty with the army. She received her associate degree from a community college in the Chicago area and worked for K-line, a container shipping company which merged with another company called One for many years in a management position.
Lodene loved to travel, take walks and garden but her main interest was family with her daughter being the integral focus of her life. Although she had a full-time and extremely demanding job, she was very involved in her daughter’s many activities and never said she didn’t have the time.
Lodene passed away in Romeoville, IL on December 1, 2021. She was preceded in death by her mother, her older sister, paternal grandparents and an aunt and uncle.
Survivors include her partner, Craig Turgeon, and her daughter, Tianne, of Romeoville, IL, her father and stepmother, Cecil R. and Linda Beaman-Sublett of Dove Creek, CO; siblings, Ralph A. Sublett, and children, Bradley and McKenzie of Omaha, NE; a nephew, Gabriel Shavlik of Omaha, NE Also, stepbrothers and stepsisters, Jeffrey Beaman (Lisa), and children, Geneva and Owen of Fort Collins, CO; Jonathan Beaman of Des Moines, IA; Jennifer Beaman of Denver, CO and son, Jordan Waller, and daughter of Winterset, IA; and Jacque Beaman Reiff and children, Seth, Ava and Eli of Winterset, IA and Sami of Des Moines, IA. In addition, she is survived by an uncle, Bob Sublett, of Olney Springs, CO and an aunt, Karen Sublett, of Kansas City, MO. Plus many cousins.
It was Lodene’s wishes to be cremated and no local service scheduled. Anyone wishing to give condolences may do so via mail to Craig and Tianne Turgeon, 716 Dexter Avenue, Romeoville, IL, 60446.
