The Raider wrestling team traveled to Greenfield to compete in the Coach Riley Invitiational on Saturday, December 3.
Mount Ayr’s Brock Shaha took a championship win at the 106 pound weight class after defeating Kaden Whipp of Clarinda by fall in 3:20.
On the road to first, Shaha was able to defeat Chris Holmes (AHSTW) by fall in 52 seconds before defeating Owen Weis of Creston in nine seconds.
At 138 pounds, Conlee Stark got a maiden win over Nodaway Valley’s Kasen Hansen by fall in 5:48 before falling to Austin Henderson of Wayne by fall in 3:00.
In the consolation round, Stark fell in 45 seconds to Central Decatur’s John Newman and in round three fell to Dalton Swartz (Bedford) by fall in 1:58.
Tegan Hill started his day off with a loss to Brayden Chester of CAM by fall in 51 seconds, before falling in 2:38 to Landen Carson of Clarinda to end his day.
Bracken Collier fell to Daniel Gorsikikh of Knoxville in the 170 pound class by fall in 51 seconds.
Collier fell in 33 seconds to Jordan Martin-England of Lenox before ending the day on a win to take seventh over Dylan Bartles of Nodaway Valley by 1-0 decision.
At 195 pounds, Allen Jennings fell by fall in 23 seconds to Karson Downey of Clarinda before falling to Colin Jacobs of Southwest Valley.
Jennings ended his day by fall in 22 seconds to Ruger Kendall.
Next up for the Raiders is a trip to Central Decatur for the Dan Christensen Invitiational at 3:30 p.m. on December 9.
