After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the annual Breakfast with the Master series will return in person during Holy Week this year. The event will run from 6:30-7:30 a.m. each day from Monday, April 3 through Friday, April 7 at the First Christian Church in Mount Ayr.
This year’s series, entitled “Journey to the Cross,” is sponsored by the Ringgold County Ministerial Association and is a cooperative effort among many county churches. The messages over the five-day event will take participants from the Garden of Eden, through the Passover, to Christ cleansing the temple, to Christ receiving the crown of thorns, to the resurrection.
Each morning members from county churches will provide a varying menu of breakfast favorites plus the sharing of music along with a short message from the pastors of participating congregations. A free will offering will be accepted to help the people of Ringgold County all year long.
The line-up for this year includes:
Monday, April 3 – The meal of biscuits and gravy, dry cereal, boiled eggs, fruit, peanut butter, coffee, juice (orange and apple), and milk will be served by the Mount Ayr First Christian Church, Ellston churches, and the Mount Ayr Restoration Branch – Church of Jesus Christ. Pastor Kevin Kiburz will deliver the message with music furnished by Korbie Rinehart.
