Easter is right around the corner and Ringgold county is preparing.
Churches around the county are holding Good Friday and/or Easter Sunday services as Good Friday falls on April 7, while Easter Sunday is April 9.
On Saturday, April 8, the annual Easter egg hunt on the Ringgold County Courthouse lawn will begin at 10 a.m. Mount Ayr Elementary SOS and Hy-Vee sponsor the event and it is available for ages 1-8 years old.
The Easter Bunny will be present and basket drawings will be held after.
• Wishard Chapel will hold a Good Friday service at 5:30 p.m., as well as Easter Sunday services at 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m.
• The First Christian Church in Mount Ayr is having an Easter service at 10 a.m.
• Trinity Evangelical Church will have fellowship at 10 a.m. and Divine Service with Holy Communion on Easter Sunday.
• United Baptist Presbyterian Church will be having Maundy Thursday services at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 6 and also Sunrise Services on Easter morning at 7:30 a.m., followed by breakfast. Regular services will begin at 10 a.m.
• United Church of Diagonal will have a 6:30 a.m. Sunrise Service with breakfast to follow. Regular worship service will be at 8:30 a.m.
• Missio Church will have a Good Friday Service at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday Services at 10 a.m. at the Ringgold Courthouse assembly room.
• Shannon City Community Church will have Good Friday Services at 7 p.m. and Easter Morning services at 9 a.m.
