Knoxville
The Mount Ayr track and field team traveled north to Knoxville to compete in the Knoxville Panther Relays last Thursday, April 13.
The Raiderettes, coming off a win in Creston, placed seventh overall with 76 team points.
Pella took the top spot with an impressive 157 points, while Indianola was second with 101.

The Raiderettes did have a few top three finishes throughout the night, with the 4×800 team of MaKenna Jones, Addison Doolittle, Karlie Larsen and Anne Newton taking third with a time of 11:17.18.
The 4×100 team of Jones, Kaylie Shields, Tegan Streit and Ashlyn Murphy finished third with a time of 53.50.
In the 4×400, the Raiderettes took another third place slot with a time of 4:29.25 as Karlie Larsen, Ivy Bice, Aubree Clark and Anne Newton secured that position.
Kaylie Shields finished third in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.99.
Boys Results
The Raiders saw a fourth place finish as a team, while taking a few event wins and placing in the top three in a handful as well.
Knoxville took the number one spot with 153 points, while Van Meter finished second with 106 and Pella Christian rounded out the top three with 99 points.
The Raiders settled in fourth with 92.5 points.

The Raider 4×100 relay team of Preston Fleharty, Braydon Pierson, Tate Dugan and Jaydon Knight took first with a time of 44.66 and the 4×400 relay team of Jackson Ruggles, Drew Ehlen, Jaydon Knight and Braydon Pierson once again took first place with a time of 3:36.85 to complete the first place finishes for the Raiders.
In the top three, Mount Ayr saw the 4×800 relay team of Ehlen, Aidan Murphy, Garrett Walter and Adan Trujillo finish third with a time of 9:08.28.
Braydon Pierson finished second in the 400 meter dash with a time of 52.09.
Tate Dugan took third in the 200 meter dash with a time of 24.66.
Jaydon Knight took third in the shot put with a throw of 39-08, while Colton Dredge took second in the discus with a throw of 122-09.
Braydon Pierson rounded out the top three finishers with a third place finish in the long jump with a leap of 18-06.5.
Lenox
It turned out to be a nice night to run in Lenox last Monday night as the Raiderettes ran to a second place finish overall, just behind a dominant Riverside team and the Raiders, despite finishing fourth, improved multiple times throughout the night, including setting a school record in the 800 sprint medley.
The team of Preston Fleharty, Jaydon Knight, Braydon Pierson and Ryce Reynolds set a time of 1:34.8 to break the previous school record of 1:35.81.

The Raiderettes saw multiple top three performances throughout the night, including a third place finish by Addison Doolittle in the 1500 meter run, with a time of 5:56.22.
Zoey Larsen took the top spot in the discus, throwing a 99-06, while Jill Kniep was third, with a 95-05. The two Raiderettes were split by another Ringgold county resident, Diagonal’s Taylor Lumbard who threw a 96-06.
The Raiderette 4×800 team of Karlie Larsen, Avan England, Addison Doolittle and Anne Newton finished the night in second with a time of 11:16.5.
The Sprint Medley team of Breya Nickle, Kyleigh Conklin, Karly Elwood and Ivy Bice saw a third place finish with a time of 1:16.45.

The Raiders saw plenty of wins on the night, but couldn’t secure a meet win.
The Raiders saw top three performances in multiple events, along with Adan Trujillo in the 400 meter hurdles, placing third with a time of 1:03.22.
The Raider 4×200 and 4×400 teamswon their respective races on the night, continuing their dominance in the races, while the 4×100 team took a close second.
The 4×100 team of Fleharty, Dalton Barnes, Tate Dugan and Knight placed second with a time of 45.75, while Shenandoah took first by a slim, 45.19, margin.
The Raider 4×200 team ran a 1:32.26 to secure first place and was ran by Fleharty, Pierson, Reynolds and Knight.
The 4×400 team of Jackson Ruggles, Drew Ehlen, Braydon Pierson and Ryce Reynolds shaved off five seconds from their previous time to finish 14 seconds ahead of second place in a time of 3:30.77.
The Raider distance medley team of Ruggles, Rowan Sackett, Garrett Walter and Adan Trujillo finished first with a time of 4:00.42.
Mount Ayr track and field is back in action tonight (Thursday, April 20) in Stuart.
