The Raiders played their first post-season game on July 3 where they came out on top of the Mormon Trail Saints by 10 runs.
Morman Trail got on the board first in the bottom of the first inning where they were able to score one run on an error.
Both teams came out of the second inning scoreless, but Morman Trail was able to get another run across thanks to a single from their third batter to extend the Saints lead to 2-0 in the bottom of the third inning.
The Raiders did not let this stop them at the plate, as they came back to put up two runs in the top of the fifth inning with the help of a home run by Rowan Sackett to left field to score himself and Drew Ehlen.
The Saints also scored one in the fifth inning, leaving the score at 3-2 after five, with the Saints on top.
Mount Ayr came out hot at the plate in the top of the sixth inning where they scored five runs on three hits to take a 7-3 lead.
The Raiders did not let up come the top of the seventh inning, as they scored six runs on five hits to finish out the game with a final score of 13-3.
The Raiders totaled 15 hits in the game as Dylan Graham led the team with four hits in four at-bats, Drew Ehlen and Tate Dugan not far behind him each collecting multiple hits for the Raiders.
The Raiders will continue on in district play where they will face off against the Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders on Wednesday July 5 at 7 p.m.
