Two candidates filed papers aiming to fill a vacancy on the Mount Ayr City Council after Jordan Stewart moved outside the city limits and resigned from his position earlier this spring.
A special election will be held on August 1 to fill the vacant seat on the Mount Ayr City Council. Now voters will decide whether Chandra Poore or Warren Angus will complete the term previously held by Stewart.
Absentee voting will begin the week of July 17 in the Ringgold County Auditor’s Office. The last day to request an absentee ballot be mailed to you is Monday, July 17 at 5 p.m.
