Raiders compete in at Ron Scott Duals
The Mount Ayr boy’s wrestling team competed in six duals at the Ron Scott Duals last Saturday.
There, the Raiders lost to POI foes Central Decatur 54-12, Lenox 33-30, Martensdale-St. Mary’s 57-6, East Union 36-24, and SE Warren-Melcher-Dallas 47-30. The Raiders also fell to Chariton 65-12.
The Raiders will be back in action this Saturday at a Class 1A District meet at Oakland, Iowa at Riverside High School. Bids for the state wrestling tournament in Des Moines are on the line at the meet.
Teams at the meet are AC/GC, AHSTW, CAM, Central Decatur, Coon Rapids-Bayard, Griswold, Lenox, Mount Ayr, Riverside, and SW Valley.
