The Mount Ayr boy’s basketball team found out who they will play in their first-round district game. The Raiders were placed in District 14 and will host Southwest Valley (9-8) on Monday night at 7 p.m. The Raiders beat SW Valley 60-54 at home in December and 55-46 at Corning on January 25.
The winner of that quarterfinal game will play the winner of another quarterfinal game between Sidney (6-13) at Bedford (19-2). The top seed in the bracket, East Mills (18-1) will play the winner of Nodaway Valley-East Union in one third quarterfinal while the last quarterfinal will be Lenox (10-9) at Stanton (11-8).
Those teams will play in District 14 semifinals on Thursday, February 15 and winners of the semifinal games will play in the District final on Tuesday, February 20.
