The Mount Ayr Raiderettes were paced by three event wins at the Lenox co-ed meet on Monday, April 15 as part of their third-place tying team finish at the 11-team scoring meet.
The point total for Mount Ayr was their third-highest of the season.
Mount Ayr won the high jump, the 4×400-meter relay, and the 4×800-meter relay events.
Aubree Shields won the high jump with a best jump of 5-feet, 0 inches. The Raiderettes 4×400-meter relay team of Anne Newton, Tatum Friedrich, Aubree Clark, and Ashlyn Murphy won the event in a time of 4:31.24. The Raiderettes 4×800-meter relay team of Anne Newton, Addison Doolittle, Aubree Clark, and Ashlyn Murphy won the event in a time of 11:32.53.
Bedford won the meet with a team score of 83 points followed by Shenandoah with 80 and Griswold with 75. The Raiderettes tied Griswold for third place and were only five points away from a runner-up finish.
In field events, Hayden Ruggles was fifth in the shot put with a best throw of 31-feet, 5.5 inches. Other top-10 field event finishers were Dannie Stewart, Jalyn Akers, Koda Henle, and MaKel Jones.
Addison Doolittle placed third in the 1,500-meter run in 5:54.08 while Jaxy Knight was fourth in the 200-meter dash in 28.90 and Aubree Shields was fourth in the 100-meter hurdles in 17.71.
Other top-10 Mount Ayr finishes came from the 100-meter dash, 800-meter run, 3,000-meter run, and 400-meter hurdle events.
The Raiderettes were runners-up in the distance medley relay event with the team of Aubree Clark, Ashlyn Murphy, Tatum Fridrich, and Anne Newton in a time of 4:46.66. Mount Ayr placed third in the 4×100-meter relay with Stewart, Britlyn Nickle, Breya Nickle, and Kyleigh Conklin in 57.17.
The Raiderettes 4×200-meter relay team of Brittlyn and Breya Nickle, Greenland, and Abby Eaton placed third in 2:03.80.
Mount Ayr added fifth-place finishes in the other two relay events they competed in, the sprint medley relay and the shuttle hurdle relay.
