The Mount Ayr girl’s golf team is having a fine season.
Last week, the Raiderettes captured their fourth straight meet win.
Mount Ayr traveled to Bedford last Thursday to take part in a four-team meet. The result was a Mount Ayr win.
The Raiderettes won the meet with a team score of 212 points.
Jaylee Shaffer was the medalist with a score of 40. Bedford’s Kendra Sleep was the medalist runner-up at the meet with a score of 52. Hadlee Christensen led Lenox with a fifth-place finish and score of 56. Ellah Pummel led Sidney with a sixth-place finish and a score of 57.
Kamryn Willis placed third for Mount Ayr with a score of 53. Other Raiderette finishes came from Olivia Huntington seventh, Izzy Gilbertson 11th, and Alana Doolittle 12th.
The Raiderettes will play this week, Wednesday, May 1, at the Bedford Golf Club in the 2024 Pride of Iowa Conference meet. Mount Ayr will host a meet the following night on Thursday, May 2.

The Mount Ayr girl’s golf team beat SW Valley last week in a POI dual meet.
There, the Raiderettes won the team battle by a score of 186 to 244.
The Raiderettes swept the top honors at the meet. Jaylee Shaffer was the medalist with a score of 38 which was three over par on the course. Shaffer had four holes she shot par on and four holes she shot one-over par on.
Olivia Huntington was the runner-up medalist with a score of 42. Huntington shot par on five of the nine holes at the meet.
Three other Raiderettes placed in the top-10. Kamryn Willis was fourth with a 48, Alana Doolittle was fifth with a 58, and Izzy Gilbertson was seventh with a 63. Gracelyn Bain led SW Valley players with a third-place finish and score of 46.
