To ensure every child in Ringgold County has the school supplies they need to return to school, the Ringgold County Ministerial Association will give away free school supplies on Tuesday August 5 from 3 to 6 p.m., the first day of school registration.
The event will be held at the First Christian Church on the square in Mount Ayr.
Items to be given away include backpacks, ear buds, assignment books, spiral notebooks, scissors, markers, colored pencils, Kleenex and other school supplies, while supplies last.
The Ringgold County Ministerial Association, Wishard Chapel, United Baptist-Presbyterian Church, New Life Family Church, Free Methodist Church, St. Joesph’s Catholic Church, and First Christian Church buy and collect the school supplies.
Monetary donations and volunteers are gratefully accepted.
