A Bible Reading Marathon will be held throughout Ringgold County on June 26-27, as a part of the Iowa 99-County event across the state.
The readings will take place in public places in five towns throughout the county and will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. The Ringgold County towns participating are Diagonal, Kellerton, Mount Ayr, Redding and Tingley.
Each location has been assigned chapters from the Old Testament and New Testament books of the Bible. Anyone can attend and volunteer to read aloud assigned chapters for 30 to 45 minutes. A team member will be available at each location to hand out assignments. It takes 156 readers to cover the whole Bible.
