MAC senior Aubrey Reed signs a letter of intent to bowl for the Iowa Central Community College Tritons next fall. Present for the signing were (seated, L-R) Deb Reed, Aubrey’s mother and bowling coach; Aubrey; Tritons bowling coach Haley Hall; and (standing) bowling coach Eric Dolecheck.
Mount Ayr senior Aubrey Reed will take her bowling skills to the next level following her signing a letter of intent to bowl at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge next fall.
“I ultimately came to a decision that I wanted to go to a college that had a bowling program but also had my ag business major,” she said.
Aubrey visited the ICCC campus and even joined a practice with the Triton team while there.
“Their whole bowling team is just a big family,” she said. “It’s really tight.”
Aubrey said the Iowa Central team attracts bowlers from all over Iowa and the upper Midwest. One member even calls Australia home.
Aubrey is the reigning Pride of Iowa conference champion and qualified for state last season, placing 29th.
She also serves as this year’s Ringgold County Beef Queen.
