Arthur Arlo Mason

Arthur Arlo, only child of Ralph and Lula Mason, was born north of Ellston in Ringgold County, July 21, 1916 and died July 13, 1924, at the home of his parents after a six weeks illness, aged 7 years, 11 months and 22 days. Arthur was an exceptionally bright, lovable lad, kind and obedient, to whom God was a reality and heaven a very real place.  The Father loaned him for a bit to bring sunshine to the home and now has called him back to be at home with Him, in that home of many mansions where He has promised that the angels shall always behold the face of Him who said, ” Suffer little children to come unto Me and forbid them not.” Besides his parents, the grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Sparks and Mrs. Mason, uncles and aunts and other relatives are left to miss him.  The funeral services were conducted from the home Monday afternoon by his pastor, Rev. Alta M. Nichols, and the little body was laid to rest in the Ellston Cemetery, to which place the remains were followed by a large number of relatives and sympathizing friends and neighbors of the bereaved family who share their grief in this hour of sorrow.
