The three Raider wrestlers that made it to ‘The Well’ found stiff competition on the mats.

Josh Cox puts a nice move on his opponent during the state tournament.
Mount Ayr heavyweight Josh Cox fell in his first match against Trenton Dirks. Cox came back in the consolation bracket and had a win over Chase Gallagher but ultimately fell to Noah Pittman to end his run.

Trae Ehlen attempts a move on his opponent during the state wrestling meet at Wells Fargo Arena last weekend.
Trae Ehlen took on Isaac Schimmels for his first match of the day and ultimately fell to him.
In the consolation side of things, Ehlen fell in his first match to Zane Ziegler, ending his wrestling season.

Bryce Shaha controls his opponent at the state wrestling meet in Des Moines recently.
In the 113 pound class, Bryce Shaha got a win over Michael Dejong for the only win in the first round for Mount Ayr.
Shaha would go on to fall to Mason Dye in the next round.
In the third round, the young Raider fell to Carter Littlefield, ending Shaha’s season.
