Mount Ayr wrestling officially closed their season after their awards banquet was held March 13.
The banquet sees the athletes, parents, cheerleaders and communities members come together as the coaches award the atheltes for their hardwork and determination throughout the season.
This year, Bryce Shaha won the team MVP, along with a captain award, most take downs and most two point nearfalls, while Quentin Gregg was awarded the other captain award.
Keaton White had the most escapes with 25, Trae Ehlen had the most reversals with 13 aong with most pins, ending the season with 21 and Jarrett Webb had the most three point falls.
Andi Gonzalez was awarded the most improved award.
Also, throughout the year, Josh Cox found himself at number six on the top 10 career falls MACS All-Time list for his career through 2015-2019 with 74, just beating out Marcus Daughton who had 73 after ending his career last year.
The Raiders look to return some young stars to the team next year to repeat trips to ‘The Well’.
