The Raiders traveled to Ames for the Iowa State University High School Boys Classic at the Lied Rec Facility.
Chase Henry has continued to throw his person best in eight consecutive meets dating back to Council Bluffs last season.
The top event on the track for the Raiders came in the 1600 meter medley with a time of 3:47.85 to finish sixth overall in a field with 4A through 1A talent.
“It was great to see the guys come back and compete so well this early in the season after a busy meet three days prior in Maryville,” said coach Brad Elliott. “We are in good position for this early in the season.”
The Raiders will open up the outdoor season on Friday, March 29 in Van Meter due to ongoing renovations at the Winterset facility. The meet will begin at 4:30 p.m.
