Tiril Sjøberg jumps the distance for a second place finish at the Nodaway Valley Invite Monday night. Sjoberg was also part of the first place sprint medley.
Monday night saw the Raiderettes in action for the first time this season as they battled there way to a meet win in Greenfield.
The Raiderettes had multiple first place finishes and podium finishes from rookie runners and field event participants to get off on a good start.
Adalyn Reynolds took first in a heavy 100 meter dash field, running a 13.97 while also taking first in the 200 meter dash with a time of 28.51.
In the 400 meter dash, Payten Lambert took second place with a time of 1:07.46.
Jaycee Knight finished third overall in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 19.22.
In the relays, the Raiderettes put together a few strong performances, winning the 4×200 with a time of 2:00.07. That team was made up of Maddie Stewart, Ryann Martin, Sam Stewart and Keirston Klommhaus.
The relay team of Tiril Sjøberg, Keirston Klommhaus, Payten Lambert and Addy Reynolds took top honors in the 800 sprint medley with a time of 1:59.38.
In field events, the Raiderettes performed well as Gracie Mobley won the discus with a throw of 106-06 and MacKenzie Shields cleared 4-10 to win the high jump.
In the long jump, Tiril Sjøberg jumped 14-10 to take second place in her first ever long jump competition.
Addy Reynolds had 24.50 points for the Raiderettes, the most of any Mount Ayr girl.
